Assam IRS Officer Donates His 10 Days’ Salary for Flood Relief

GUWAHATI, JULY 18, 2019:

Padmapani Bora, an Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer hailing from Assam and currently serving as Joint Commissioner of Income Tax, has earned love, respect and admiration from all corners of the country for an act of great benevolence. This young officer was apparently so moved by the devastation caused by floods in his state, that he has decided to contribute his 10 days’ salary for flood relief efforts to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.

Bora has stated that he made this decision after seeing the “painful images of helpless people and endangered wildlife”.
