IRS Officer Padmapani Bora Organises Health Camp For Flood-Hit People In Hajo

Guwahati: A health camp was organised for the flood-affected people on August 3rd, 2019 in Hajo area of Kamrup district by the Srijanasom Trust. The camp was organised at the premises of Charabari Kali Temple. The initiative was taken up by bureaucrat Padmapani Bora, who is presently posted as the Joint Commissioner of Income Tax in Guwahati.

A total of 567 flood-affected people attended the camp. Doctors from various departments like medicine, skin, dental have examined the patients and free medicines were distributed among the people. Sanitary napkins were also distributed among the women of the area by the Trust along with sanitization material among the villagers.

It may be mentioned, IRS officer Bora has donated ten days of his salary to the Assam Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to aid flood relief activities. A writer and columnist, Bora’s second book ‘Discovering the Heritage of Assam’, published by Penguin Books, is likely to be available in the market soon.
